Karnataka 2nd PUC Exams Cancelled: Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar on Friday announced the cancellation of the Karnataka class 12 or 2nd PUC exams 2021 in view of the covid-19 pandemic. The decision to cancel the Karnataka class 12 board examination was taken after Prime Minister Modi on June 1 announced the cancellation of the CBSE class 12 board exam.
The Education Minister has said that the Karnataka SSLC examination will be conducted in the 3rd week of July 2021. He also informed that only two examinations will be held, one of the language and the other will be the MCQs on science, math, and social sciences. Teachers who have received the covid-19 vaccination will be deployed as the invigilators of the examination.
“No student will fail in class 10th and 12th. Evaluation will be according to grades,” said Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar.
The decision to cancel the CBSE class 12 board examination was taken during a high-level review meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After the meeting, PM Modi on his official Twitter handle wrote, “Government of India has decided to cancel the Class 12 CBSE Board Exams. After extensive consultations, we have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth.”
